Astronomy 2008

Date: 16 Aug 2008 (Saturday)
Venue: Singapore Art Museum
It’s a full day event. Packed with talks by renowned veteran astronomers (some local), an imaging workshop for budding astrophotographers, solar and planetary observing, lucky draws, astrophotography exhibition.
So do come for this exciting event, ADMISSION IS FREE (most importantly for most of you). For those who have never seen a planet up close through a telescope, or seen the sun with all its flares, prominences and sunspots in the light of day (don’t worry, the telescopes have special filters that reveal solar details without potentially burning your cornea), or even seen what this universe (probably the only one) has to offer, this is an event you just cannot miss. Come see what stargazing is all about. For girls who love geeks, there are plenty there :X

(I think I’ll just wallow in astronomy goodness on that day for the whole day.)
